Serving the Twin Tiers since 2002, we have undergone a number of changes over those years, each of them refining the services we offer to keep our prices as low as possible for both the home user and small business person.

We began as B&W Web Design and soon discovered there was a large sector of home users interested in learning how to fix their own computer. From there we formed DIY PC Workbench only to find out that those same people did not have the time to fix their own computers even after learning some basic steps. Thus we formed Twin Tier Techs, LLC. We then secured a number of local business contracts and after a number of years servicing the needs of Twin Tiers Eye Care Associates, Doug Wood, co-owner of Twin Tier Techs, LLC; was hired full time as the in house IT (Information Technology) person. With Twin Tier Techs dissolved as a corporation in New York and now being employed full time, Doug returned to a sole proprietership as Local PC Pros and works with his wife, Misty, in the evenings as the chief consultant to continue to keep the business flourishing.

Which brings us to 2008...to avoid any confusion with other "Local" repair shops we have re-branded our name once again, to make more obvious who we are, and what we provide.

Misty Wood, completing her Computer & Networking degree at Corning Community College, has taken over ownership of the business, together we schedule and dispatch from our Horseheads location. All services are mobile. We have worked hard at refining our service, fully insured with professional references available upon request, we continue to serve you with the original belief that, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. "

We charge one flat rate of $75.00 for our "Complete Computer Tune-UP" and that fixes 95% of all problems, and includes our FREE 16 point Inspection, we disclose all of our additional prices before service when need be and we cap our price at $175.00 because at that point backup/replacement becomes a more viable option.

Most local chain stores set their prices high enough to begin with that replacement is their main goal, keep that in mind before falling for the incomplete hype in there advertising.

We offer CROSS-LOOP and if you have a broadband connection we will attempt for a maximum of 1 hour to repair your problem REMOTLY by connecting (with your permission, and while you watch from your side) to your computer. The service is $1.00 per minute up to 60 minutes at which point if we can not correct it we will come get it from you and deduct the $60.00 from your bill when we are done.
